I’m a lifelong animal lover, rescue volunteer, and devoted pet caregiver in Palm Harbor. My love for animals has shaped so much of my life. For as long as I can remember, lost and stray animals have had a way of finding me, and I’ve made it my mission to help them get safely home or receive the care they need.A few years ago, I spent a year volunteering with a street-animal rescue organization in St. Maarten, helping rehabilitate feral animals, hand-feed orphaned puppies and kittens, and care for abandoned, injured, and malnourished pets. That experience taught me how to read behavior, build trust, and adapt my approach to animals with very different personalities and needs—skills I bring to every pet I care for today.My last pet was the love of my life, Sophie, a Tibetan Spaniel who was by my side for almost 17 years. She traveled with me by plane, sailboat, and RV and experienced more places and adventures than many people do in a lifetime. I miss her every day and remain incredibly grateful to have shared my life with such a special soul.Now that I’m settled in Palm Harbor, I’m not quite ready to welcome another pet of my own. Instead, I’ve chosen to follow my passion by helping care for yours. Your dog stays with me in my apartment and is treated like family, with full run of the couch and the bed, multiple walks every day, plus playtime at our two on-site dog parks and the Paw Playground at John Chesnut Sr. Park just down the road, with your OK. I host just one family at a time, so they never have to share my home with dogs they don’t know. Siblings are always welcome.
